Welcome to Soup for a Soul

We all know someone who is really sick or grieving.  Sometimes we'll send flowers, maybe call on a regular basis or send a note.  When possible, we prefer to send soup.  It is warm, comforting and it has a personal touch.

This project is designed to spread this idea to others.  Soup for a Soul is a network of people helping others in need. We make soup. We make it with love for those who are facing health or personal issues in their lives and could use something warm and comforting inside them.

This site can help you get soup to someone you care about.

There are two ways you can make this happen:

Option 1 - Make some soup and walk it over to their house.  You probably have a great recipe ready to go.  But if you don’t, click on OUR SOUP above and follow the simple instructions.

But if your friend does not live close by...

Option 2 - Send us a request by clicking A FRIEND NEEDS SOUP above and we will make it happen through our network.  It’s like sending flowers – with a card attached from you as well!  We will ask a neighbour of your friend to make the soup for you.   We will communicate back to you before delivery so you can tell your friend its coming. The person who is making the soup will also call to introduce themselves and arrange the delivery.

If you want to join our network and stand on call to make our soup for someone who lives near you on behalf of someone in our network, click on OFFER TO MAKE SOUP above and provide the required information. If we receive a request near you we will email you and set you to work.

We are located in the Greater Toronto Area but we have contacts across Canada. Potentially, there is no geographical limit to our reach.
